Ryan Truex has racing in his blood and is carrying on the family tradition. Although he only began racing about four years ago, he has quickly established himself as one of NASCAR’s outstanding young talents.
He began his career at the age of 13 racing a Bandolero at Wall Township Speedway in New Jersey. From there, he transitioned to Legends and in 2007, won a speedway championship. Last year he competed in a family owned Late Model at Motor Mile Speedway in Radford, VA.

The speculation is finally over as Danica Patrick made it official today that she has signed with JR Motorsports. In a press conference streamed online at GoDaddy.com, Patrick was joined by GoDaddy CEO Bob Parsons and Kelley Earnhardt, co-owner of JR Motorsports.
Her #7 car sponsored by GoDaddy was unveiled as it was announced that she would run a limited Nationwide Series schedule in 2010. Tony Eury Jr. will join the team as her crew chief.
Patrick begins her first challenge by participating in ARCA Series testing December 18th-20th at Daytona International Speedway. She’ll run her first race at the ARCA season opener on February 6, 2010.
Danica Patrick coupled with Dale Earnhardt Jr and Hendrick Motorsports is a winning combination in anyone’s book. Regardless of how Patrick fares, the resultant media frenzy can only benefit NASCAR who was plagued this past season by sagging ratings.
Kelley Earnhardt is hoping that Danica might be the right person to finally propel JR Motorsports to the next level. Continue reading →

Dale Earnhardt Jr. won the NMPA Chex Most Popular Driver Award for the seventh consecutive time today. He is third on the all-time list behind Bill Elliott who won it 16 times and Richard Petty who won nine.
The award has been around since 1956 and is voted on solely by fans.
This win was expected by many but will no doubt surprise countless others who witnessed the worse season of Dale Jr’s career in 2009.
It was a season filled with ups and downs and left very little to cheer about. He failed to make the Chase and finished a career low 25th in the overall point’s standings.
Dale Jr. flew in just to accept this award and give thanks to the allegiance of fans who have continued to support him in good times and bad. Continue reading →
